What PesoLog is
PesoLog is a ledger for Overseas Filipino Workers and their families. It records the padala you send, what you spend, the budgets and savings goals you set, and it lets the family back home follow along.
PesoLog is not a money-transfer service. It never moves money, and it never asks for your bank details, card numbers, or the credentials of any remittance provider. When you tap a provider such as Remitly, LBC or Western Union, PesoLog simply opens that company's own site or app in your browser with the amount copied ready to paste. Everything that happens after that is between you and that provider.
Getting started
The PesoLog User Guide walks through every screen with pictures. It is also linked from Settings → App → User guide inside the app.
- Create an account with your email address, or sign in with Google or Apple.
- Check your inbox and confirm your email address. If nothing arrives, see Email problems below.
- Choose Sender mode if you are the one sending money home, or Recipient mode if you are the one receiving it. You can switch modes from the bar at the top of the screen.
- Add the people you send to, then log your first padala.
Connecting the family back home
A recipient uses their own PesoLog account. From Sender mode, invite them from the recipient's card; once they accept, each padala you log appears for them, and you can message each other inside the app.
Languages
PesoLog is available in English, Tagalog and Cebuano. Change it in Settings → Preferences → Language.
Currencies and exchange rates
PesoLog converts from USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD, JPY, SGD and SAR into Philippine pesos, using rates refreshed from a public exchange-rate service. Set the currency you earn in under Settings → Preferences → Default currency.
These rates are indicative and are there to help you decide when to send. They are not the rate your provider will give you — providers set their own rates and fees, so the pesos that actually arrive will differ.
Subscriptions and billing
PesoLog is free to use. Premium unlocks the full Sender-mode ledger; current prices are shown on the Premium screen in the app.
All payments are handled by the app store you installed from. PesoLog never sees or stores your card details, and we cannot take a payment, issue a refund or cancel a subscription on your behalf.
Managing or cancelling
- iPhone or iPad: Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions.
- Android: Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Cancelling stops future charges; the subscription runs to the end of the period already paid for. Deleting your PesoLog account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it separately, or billing continues.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by the store, not by us. On iPhone or iPad use reportaproblem.apple.com; on Android request a refund through the Play Store order history. Email us if you would like help making the case.
Email problems
The confirmation email never arrived
- Check your spam or junk folder for a message from hello@pesolog.com.
- In the app, go to Settings → Account → Verify your email address and tap it to send the link again.
- Check the address on your account for typos — a single wrong character means the mail is delivered somewhere else entirely.
If it still does not arrive, email us and we will confirm the address by hand.
Reminders are not arriving
Scheduled-transfer reminders can arrive as push notifications, as email, or both. Check that notifications are enabled for PesoLog in your phone's system settings, and that the schedule itself is active in the app. On iPhone, notification permission is asked for once — if you declined it, re-enable it in the Settings app under PesoLog.
Your data
Back up before you change anything
Settings → Data → Back up my data exports your records to a file you keep. Restore it from the same screen.
Delete your account or your records
You can delete your account from Settings → Data → Delete account, or ask us to do it without installing the app. Both routes, and exactly what is removed, are on the Delete Your Account page.
Privacy
What we collect and why is set out in the Privacy Policy. In short: PesoLog collects what it needs to keep your ledger and your account working, it is never sold, and it is never shared with advertisers.
Reporting a problem
If something looks wrong — a total that does not add up, a padala that will not save, a screen that will not load — email support@pesolog.com with a screenshot and the steps you took. Bug reports with a screenshot get fixed faster than those without.
To report abusive behaviour from another user in chat, include the account that sent it and a screenshot of the message. We act on these.
